Is LEGO the best toy ever invented or what? Can you ever outgrow them? You certainly can’t run out of ideas of what to do with them.
We are probably now on month six of the micro scale invasion in our house. “What’s “Micro Scale”?”, you ask. Well, try building your next inspirations as small as possible with as few bricks as possible. You’ve heard of Minimalist Art? Well, this is that taken into The Realm Of Play.
Some of our faves are this rendering of Wall-E and Eve.
These are creatures of my son’s creation attacking this very computer I now type on.

Okay, these aren’t made out of trash. Or at least this trash has been power cleaned. That said, I am impressed with ____’s work. These are pretty fun creatures.
And then there is this guy, who makes his out of old typewriters. Typewriters? What are those? Well when a pen would not suffice, back in the days before computers, we wrote words on them.

Some of the Bowlers out there have questioned why we chose our name out of all the names out there. We think the answer is obvious, and we think the real question is why are they asking? We can’t believe they think it’s gross! Granted the nose has boogers, but it’s just your body.

Science Rocks
Schoolhouse Rock will always be one of the great inventions of the TV era. It taught so many grammar, math, and civics. But as far as I know, it never ventured into science.
Thankfully we now live in an age where everyone can create and distribute (at least for now — ask your parents about “Net Neutrality” and how that may be taken away from us), and some good science minded folk have come up with a great rap about the search for anti-matter and dimensions beyond the three we currently recognize. You may not understand it all, but it’s got a good beat you can dance to, and lots of awesome machines to see, like Particle Accelerators.
The Large Hadron Collider just went into action this week.
