Free Rice is one of those sites where you click on it and you do something good. Although with Free Rice you do more than just click. You play a game and the more answers you get right, the more people you have fed. The questions are hard; they are geared to adults — or rather smart kids (maybe third grade and up). You leave with knowledge and the United Nations has supplied more hungry people with more food. Everybody wins!

Everything is too big to fit conveniently into our own bowls, right? And as our brood of beasts continue to spawn and overpopulate the planet, how are we going to fit all this stuff we think we need into our hovels? Either we all are going to have to stop accumulating so much useless junk, or we are going to have to start to get smaller. Having our stuff get smaller is a decent start too. That’s we love the Scarab. Is this a car for tomorrow or what?!

The Box Doodle project is a website that allows you to doodle on boxes and post them to the site. It’s also a great inspiration for a rainy day. Grab those boxes and get doodling before someone else snags them!
Sketch is fun website (click to open) where you can see how others draw. Someone draws a picture, and the site animates it so it is drawn before your eyes. Like magic! It also has tools to draw your own, and it’s really simple. Lots of colors too. Give it a whirl!
You have to add your name to access it, so check with your parents. I just kept hitting “random” and looked at many beautiful and funny drawings.

Junkbot Music Video
The Bowl thinks every home needs its own junkbot. One day we will figure out how to help ours save the world. As supporters of equal rights for robots, we found a soft spot for this tale of robot rebellion. Its all about the love after all.
This music video is another one from Walter Robot who made the Mystery Man animation we featured here. This one is for the band Modest Mouse and their song “Missed The Boat”.
