In my dreams, NYC transforms overnight. Manhattan is no longer the island of the super-rich. The ubiquitous advertising is gone. Everything is art. In fact it looks a lot like The Heidelberg Project outside of Detroit. This alone is a reason for a trip to Michigan.

Dancing Fool
And I mean that in the best possible way. We all need to dance, just like we all need to laugh. I think this proves both. What a way to see the world! 42 countries, including outer space! And all with happy feet (thanks to Ellen D. for the tip!)

Best Film of 2008: Blu
I saw another installation/film of Blu’s awhile back at a gallery in NYC with my family and we were blown (bluwn?) away. In that one you could see him painting the animation but this one, sans human, with the sun and clouds working as the clock, adds onto the prior one’s promise.
Room To Move
Eventually you will be able to find out everything about anything, and someday you won’t even have to work hard to find it. Not that I want any life other than Even More Knowledge, but part of me already feels like we are in The Days Of Too Much Information. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me and a little more ignorance wasn’t bliss, but studies have shown that those that don’t accept basic facts (that we are destroying the planet, our freedoms are being reduced, opportunities are being diminished — that kind of thing) are far happier than those of us that do.
