Monkey See But No Can Do (At Least Not Yet)

We’ve started ice skating over in our bowl.  Lessons have been going well, but somehow we don’t think we will ever reach the level of these chimps.

Crazy Animals #5: Tree Climbing Goats

I saw them with my own eyes one time when I was in Morocco.  Goats up in a tree, standing out a limb, like it was perfectly natural. I could have stared for hours.

I am grateful that someone shot this video so you can now see them too.  Can you count how many are up there?  Watch how they jump down.

Ban Humans From TV!

What if Humans were never on TV?  Only animals and animation.  Hmmm….  At least we’d probably get to watch LANCELOT LINK SECRET CHIMP a whole lot more.  This show played on network TV in prime time around 1970, which meant that back then almost forty years ago, this is what “They” thought all Americans wanted to do after dinner.  Maybe they were right?  Maybe the time is right for Chimp TV.

Learn To Fly

We all have to start sometime, right?  Every nose picks itself up and waddles out into the real world, leaving all the other schnozolas behind.

The Blue Crane is the national bird of South Africa.  It began a sudden population decline from around 1980 and is now classified as vulnerable.  Here’s two of them just starting out.

Crazy Animals #4: Baby Pygmy Hippo

I wish we could go to Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia today.  We’d love to visit Monifa.  Cute little funny looking thing it is!

Thanks BoingBoing!
